Laura was the first registered nurse to join the physicians at Health Suite 110. Originally pursuing a career in music, Laura graduated from the Conservatory at UMKC with a degree in music performance. Her own experiences as a patient while dealing with health concerns in high school and early college ultimately lead her straight from UMKC into an accelerated nursing program at Research College of Nursing where she earned her BSN. She loves building long term relationships with patients and being present with them in both difficult and joyful times.
Laura lives with her husband, 3 resident cats, and rotating litters of foster kittens from Unleashed Pet Rescue.When not caring for patients or kittens, Laura can likely be found gardening, hiking, thrifting, playing sand volleyball, or enjoying food (especially charcuterie), coffee, or wine at one of her many favorite local spots (shout out to McLain’s). Her life aspirations include running a half marathon in every state, finding the best spring rolls in the world, and becoming a morning person.
